btw, i fucking HATE laurie juspyczeeeek or whatever. she irritated the hell out of me in the comic and she has to be the most lamest most USELESS hero that ever graced the comic book genre.
BUT... i loathe her movie outfit. so i decided to give her trashy 70s look a go and it was kinda fun to draw. btw i think that movie is gonna SUCK. i don't think watchmen will do successful condensed like V for Vendetta did. alan moore's movies tend to suck anyways, V being the only exception imho.
oh, since all their outfits (cept for rorschach's) were supposed to look funny in the comic cause it's a satyrical take on super heros, does that justify the take on their outfits in the movie looking like joel schumaker's wet dream?
in short: i like laurie's original outfit better than the movie's version.
I'm with you on this mostly because they tried to 'cool' up what's supposed to be a serious story backdropped on a pastiche of superheroes of the day.
First and foremost making the Nite Owl more like Batman is just laaaame.

Alan Moore definitely hates movies made from his work. In fact I'm pretty sure he hates movies in general. At least he acts like he does. He's actually signed contracts making sure he doesn't make a dime off of this movie, instead letting Dave Gibbons have it all. Anyway this drawing's awesome. Her costume looked horrid in the comic, but this rendition seems a little nicer. She looks kinda like a Venture Brothers character here.

seriously, huh? i knew she was supposed to be a bad stereotype like night owl but i still hated her, lol.
and i dunno what that thing is, i see her lighting it up all the time in the comic. it's like a self filtering cigarette? i dunno what it is. it looks cute though.

She only became a costumed adventurer on her mother's insistence.
As for the movie, whether Watchmen can truly be condensed into a 2/2.5 hour flicker or not I'll be going to see it simply for the incredible visuals.
Fun Side Note: Is that a marshmallow on a stick she's holding in her left hand?
