I'm OPEN for commissions!
-----
This was a commission I never got around to posting. An awesome cosplayer hit me up to create a unique Asian witch design for a cosplay contest where the outfit must tell a story. We ended up settling on the theme of a carp becoming a dragon. It's a Chinese myth, and we loved the message of how anyone can overcome incredible odds and come out stronger and grander than before.
So I tried to design a flowing skirt with a cape pattern and having lace trail from the bodice, to simulate waterfalls. Finally a golden dragon shoulder pad rests around her neck, and pearls decorate her elaborate wig. (pearls are thought to be dragon's tears)
This was a big commission that took a while to paint, but I truly enjoyed learning so much from it. It's one of my favorite commissions to date!

That's cool you can use blanket terms to describe a whole country of people (totally not hypocritical and racist amirite) and I won't stop them from saying it. I'm just kinda sad I can't enjoy their amazing art as much as I used to. (a couple of those artists i would buy art books from every year. oh well.)Please note or email me if you're interested or have any questions
Sorry I just had to get that off my chest. It had been nagging at me for a while. But now for the good part of the year!
